We were awoken just before 6:30am by noisy neighbours who were preparing to leave. The same people had loud music playing yesterday afternoon. Most inconsiderate for others!
We met with the other members of our group and decided to visit The Breakaways in the morning rather than late in the afternoon as planned. The original plan was a late afternoon visit with happy hour at The Breakaways as the sun set. Forecast wind and the lack of cloud made it easy to change our mind and go in the morning.
We had to stop at the tourist information centre to purchase a pass to visit The Breakaways. We have never purchased a pass for recent visits, and we don’t know if this is new or if we missed paying in the past. Nevertheless, the cost of the pass was less than the problems that would be associated if you did not have one.
We lead our group travelling in three cars and drove to the dog fence. Since our last visit ,this part of the road had been sealed. Heading into The Breakaways, we commented on how good the road was. Shortly after that statement, we saw a grader in front of us. Hence the reason for the road condition.
We stopped at a couple of features before visiting a couple of lookouts to take some pictures.
We returned to the caravan park via the main highway and stopped for lunch. After lunch we purchased some grocery items and refuelled the car.
The remainder of the afternoon was quiet, and “He” repacked the car having removed the contents of the backseat earlier in the day so we could take our friends.
We all went to the Coober Pedy “Bar & Gril” for our late happy hour and our evening meal.
We used Starlink until late.
