Last night was warm and it rained. A heavy downpour woke us, and the rain continue throughout the night but had stopped when the alarm sounded at 6:20am. We got up straight away.
The rain stayed away whilst we did our pack up and it was pleasing to see the dark clouds in the rearview mirror as we departed from Burra.
Today was the longest drive of this trip with the calculated distance being 342 kilometers from point to point. One of the group stayed behind to have coffee with family and the remaining three travelled together. We stopped for coffee at Renmark and arrived at our final destination after 2pm.
We had trouble finding our sites at the caravan park as the numbering system leaves a lot to be desired.
The couple who stayed behind arrived at the same time as us, but they have problems with their motorhome with an issue with the brakes and to top it off, an issue with the gearbox. It is uncertain what will happen with their vehicle as it probably needs to go to Adelaide or Melbourne. There will be answers tomorrow.
We had a happy hour and were joined by mosquitoes. We were able to address the mossies but will see what happens tomorrow. We are camped very close to the Murray River.
We used our air fryer to heat our evening meal and then watched television until late. Television involved watching the State Funeral for Neil Daniher.
