As previously mentioned, we headed to bed at 9:30pm and it didn’t take long to get to sleep. The location at Macquarie Woods was very quiet with only the occasional sound of a highflying aircraft overhead. The rain we had earlier in the night did not reappear and the temperature remained higher than what we expected. We had to throw off the doona and at different times during the night, we found ourselves sleeping under the sheet.
We set the alarm for 6:30am but we were both awake just prior to that time. After a quick breakfast, we were ready to depart by 8:30am. Planned departure time was 9:00am.
After leaving the camp site, we drove to Molong where we all stopped for morning tea in the Lime & Stone Café. After the stop, it was decided we make our own way to Trangie, our next overnight stop. We went as a group of three driving an alternative route to Dubbo via pleasant backroads. Three became two at Dubbo when we stopped for fuel.
An hour later, we arrived at the Trangie Caravan Park and were located onto our site for the night. We were a little surprised that we were placed behind others in our group and the park manager provided us with long power leads and a long water hose.
We were able to stay hitched but unfortunately that resulted with the caravan sloping downhill for the second night in a row.
Our group is now complete with the final couple joining us at Trangie.
The opportunity was used to recharge battery packs including the Starlink battery that took only a short time to recharge.
We had a happy hour and celebrated the birthday of one of our group.
We noticed some water in the base of the shower which could be the leak that Sydney RV was suppose to have fixed. It looks like we will have to manage the use of water to mitigate the problem. Damm!
Except for one couple, we all ventured to the Imperial Hotel for our evening meal. Except for us, everyone appeared to enjoy their meals. Returning to our caravan, we both showered and then watched television.
