3 July 2025 – Bathurst NSW

Our second last day.  We had another comfortable night with the alarm set for 7:00am.  She got up just after the first alarm while he stayed until the third snooze cycle passed.

Today it started raining just after 7:30am and finished at 7:30am.  The rain lasted for seconds and that was the only rain we saw during the entire day.

Yesterday we planned to start the day as a group at 10:00am with a drive to the Mt Panorama Motor racing circuit and do a lap.  The circuit is a normal road and subject to normal speed limits.  In this case that was 60kph.  We did not do a single lap, we did two.

After completing our fun at Mt Panorama, we drove back into Bathurst and stopped at a café called Sweet Caramel for morning tea.  We would have stayed longer but we all parked in 60-minute zones.

Leaving the café we all went our separate ways.

We returned to the caravan park before visiting the Holy Trinity church at Kelso where several of her relatives are buried.  We managed to locate most of the graves and take photographs.

We returned to the caravan for lunch and then had another drive in the afternoon which included refuelling the Navara.

Our final meal with the group was at a Chinese restaurant called “Chef Li”.  The food was great as was the company.  The night finished with hugs and kisses as we said goodbye to our friends who we had shared with most the last 51 days.  Everyone indicated they had enjoyed themselves and several comments were made that this was the best branch activity that they had been involved in.

Returning to the caravan, he completed this record of our trip, and we watched television until heading to bed.  We are ready to return home and get back into some degree of normality.
