9 April 2018 – Macquarie Woods, Vittoria to Sydney NSW

We were up early and packed to leave just before 8:00am.

We said goodbye to all of our friends and headed towards Bathurst and the water works where we would be dumping our chemical toilet.  With the coordinates entered into the GPS, we had no problems finding the place.

Returning to the Great Western Highway, we headed to Lithgow and then did a diversion climbing the Blue Mountains at Lithgow rather than at Mt Victoria.  Following the recent issues with the car, “He” wanted a quick as easy climb.  By heading in this direction, we added about 8k’s to our trip, returning to the Great Western Highway at Mt Victoria.

The trip home was uneventful, and we arrived home just after 11:30am. Due to the location of two of our neighbours vehicles parked in the street, we had to make several attempts to return the caravan to the driveway.

This trip is likely to be the last one with this “Blue Snoopy” as we intend to sell the caravan after returning from a rail trip to Western Australia in the next couple of weeks.  We are not sure if we will sell the entire combination or just the caravan. Future trips in Australia will be by car and either motel, hotel of cabin in a caravan park.
